Yeah, you're right-it looks shady and frankly quite a dump, but you might find that it has the best deals, the friendliest people, and their homemade mac n cheese could beat up your pasta--and for the same price.
Our mission is to help people rediscover their city by highlighting the niche neighborhood bars, restaurants, local events, galleries and businesses that you should know about that are relative to you. We are your resource for great suggestions on what to do and where to go, from us and from your peers. We gain our knowledge from listening, Two Cents is a place to share your experience; to tell us about your awesome night out, or a rather horrid one. We want to hear it all.
Two Cents bridges that gap between neighborhoods and brings long-awaited recognition to the local places that fall in-between and make Milwaukee unique. Whether it's introducing someone to a new place or sharing some unknown facts about the places they've always gone, we want to encourage Milwaukee to be a part of their city and to explore it. Katie has only lived in Milwaukee since 2004, but quickly became a Milwaukee advocate who loved to explore and play tour guide to anyone who visited. Katie received a BFA in Photography and currently works as a full time freelancer. She's the Art Director for 2 Cents MKE fashion spreads, content management & marketing. Jonathan graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts majoring in both Communication Design and Illustration. He enjoys designing for print applications and focuses on incorporating illustration into modern visual design.
