Sugar Maple
By 2 Cents
Easily Milwaukee's premier smoke-free bar. Why premier? For anyone who loves micros and imports that can't be found anywhere else, Sugar Maple is something akin to heaven – unless that someone happens to be a smoker, but even that could only be a minor impediment in the face of a selection that is as close to a religious experience as a connoisseur of beer can have; not said without a sense of irony, being that the bar is located in what was formerly a Sikh temple. Because the bar serves good beer, it's best as the bar to go to as the night out begins. Since it is good beer, remember that it is going to be more expensive than your favorite neighborhood bar in spite of the prices being perfectly reasonable. Also, it is advisable to remember that good beer almost inevitably has a much heavier, higher alcohol content than your normal the beer of choice. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable and can most certainly point you in the direction of a beer that you will more than likely enjoy, or, alternately, can point you in the direction of their specials. My personal advice is splurge and find something new and magical.

So true. This is the best place for a beer in Milwaukee. Or at least my favorite. They not only have a ton of beers, but they are always changing things up with a different list... Every time I go there is something new to try... I have discovered so many great beers here.
